I’m Tsitsi
I'm a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Registered Member of BACP. Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor with CFC Altrincham, supporting people through a range of personal and emotional difficulties.
I moved from Zimbabwe to England at sixteen, carrying more identities than I knew what to do with and working twice as hard to be seen. Through my own counselling journey, I came to understand that my roots and culture were part of what made me who I am.
That's the heart of Rooted Within: a belief that who you are and what you carry deserves to be understood, not hidden.
I believe you are the expert on your own life. I listen, stay curious and work at your pace.

Frequently asked questions
Is counselling confidential?
What you share in counselling is confidential, within professional and ethical boundaries. I'll explain what these limits are at the start of our work together, so you know exactly where you stand.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask a little about what's brought you to counselling and what you're hoping for, and you can ask me anything too. We go at your pace.
How long will I have counselling for?
There's no set number of sessions. We'll review our work together as things develop, and you decide when you feel ready to finish.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are face-to-face at my practice in Altrincham.
How often would we meet?
Usually weekly, at the same time each week where possible - this consistency tends to help.
How do I pay for my sessions?
Payment is made by bank transfer when booking. Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been received.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for 72 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange. Sessions cancelled with less notice are charged at the full session fee - if something unexpected comes up, get in touch and we can talk it through.
